More Bainbridge Island Garden Pictures

Just a few more photographs that I've taken in this pretty garden.  I love housesitting here for lots of reasons but the garden is so lovely that that would be reason enough.

Sorry, friends from Minnesota (and Canada)...flowers are actually blooming here in Washington!

This little creature is having a snooze, I think.

Heliotrope is such a pretty flower and they're just starting to bloom here.

What's so interesting to me is that they bow their heads.  I took this picture with the camera underneath the flower!!   I really did.

The lucky birds that visit this garden have several water features.  I love this one sitting on the rocks.  Isn't that such a clever idea?  There are a couple of others here and there, as well.  We've actually watched the birds splashing around.  Looks like they're having the time of their lives!

Very pretty! My lenten rose won't be blooming for another couple of months.

Oh, how lovely! You're making me seriously wish that spring would hurry up... We just got another layer of snow the other day and it's driving me nuts!

Pam - Well, back home in Minnesota they are still buried in snow. Nothing blooming there for a LONG time!

Hannah - Another layer of snow? Yuk. My sympathies.

Spring in January? How lucky can you get. Whenever I go outdoors I have to contend with ice and tread in that head-down, tiny-steps march to keep from wiping out and damaging my bones.

Beautiful post, Cheryl! Such pretty spring-like flowers and the bird bath made me smile...ah, spring! We had six inches of snow here in Virginia yesterday...I remember when the first snow fell, back in December, and I said, Oh, this is sooo beautiful, a winter wonderland! LOL (at myself) now!

Ms. Sparrow, although I do miss my cozy home, I do not miss that weather - brrr.

Kittie, I forgot that you have cold weather, too. Six inches takes a looong time to melt! But, as I told my daughter who is lamenting her move from Los Angeles, "when spring comes you will absolutely LOVE it!"

Thanks, Cheryl, for the reminder that somewhere flowers are blooming! Unfortunately, it will be another 2 or 3 months before that happens here.

I love that water feature - could see that in my yard!

Thanks, Rose, for stopping by and for the kind comments.

Lady B. - but when they do bloom, it'll be so cool, right? The thing about having those water features here in Washington is that Mother Nature fills them frequently...at home I'll have to use the hose!

I once had a helleborus rose and I killed it somehow but always loved them. They are beautiful.
All of your photos are beautiful.

Oh it's going to be a long time until they're blooming here. Thanks for the sneak peak.

Beautiful pictures; they bring spring an summer to mind, in the midst of winter, when everything I see is covered by snow...
Thank you so much for your kind visit and a lovely comment.;)

Hilary, I can see more little blossoms every day, here so it's a sneak peek for us, too. Still buried in snow at home, I'm told.

Zuzana...I'll bet spring is beautiful in Denmark. Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for stopping, Moe! I know...the flower comment was hitting below the belt for all of you up in Canada but I couldn't resist.
