Sunrise on Bainbridge


Just a quick post because we're going to be out and about, today.

This morning about 7 a.m. I snapped the first photo of the sunrise.  Just a few minutes later daylight merged perfectly with the sunrise (2nd photo) and I could tell that we are in for a beautiful day. 

We're going over to Silverdale to the nearest mall.  We've got a Christmas present to exchange and there's no local store on the island.  To get to Silverdale, you have to cross the bridge over the Hood Canal so I'm certain that there will be some photo ops.

I think we'll also do a little exploring.

  1. How fun that you're still up there. How long you gonna stay? That is a beautiful area. We used to own land in Port Angeles. (You're probably saying "where!?!)

  3. I have a sister who lives in Port Angeles...so I know exactly where it is, my dear POD. So there! :-) And we're housesitting in Winslow (the little town at the harbor on Bainbridge) until the end of January. It's the 3rd or 4th time at this house with two sweet cats. I love it here.

    Sherry, I will definitely check out the 365 project. Never heard of it before POD created hers but it looks like a very cool concept.

  5. Cheryl, that is a beautiful part of the country. When I was married, we bought property above the town though only visited a few times. I have friends up there though, a girl I went to high school with who I guess would qualify as a woman now. Continue to have a great time and start taking the photos. It's fun.
