Hershey's Better Basket Blog Hop

This pretty little porcelain egg in a glittery basket is perched on a counter in this very cool log house.   I thought it would make a great picture for this blog post.

My good friend  POD of Thufferin Thuccotash  gave me a virtual  Easter Basket, this morning.   It's part of the Hershey's Better Basket Blog Hop which benefits the Children's Miracle Network.  For each blogger who participates, Hershey's is donating $10.00 to CMN.    What a great way to celebrate this springtime holiday!

So what is Hershey's Better Basket Blog Hop, you ask?    Here's the scoop right from the horse's Bunny's mouth.  (In other words, I copied this paragraph from the Better Basket website.)

"Better Basket Blog Hop started as a charity blog meme, bloggers were able to raise $10 by writing a blog post of donating a virtual Easter Basket. HERSHEY’S promised to donate $10 per each post written for the Children’s Miracle Network, up to $5,000. Within the first week, over 200 bloggers participated, and soon it was 400 bloggers, and HERSHEY’S was so impressed by the kindness and caring of the hundreds of bloggers participating that they decided to donate $7,000 in honor of all the caring bloggers who are part of spreading the word of paying it forward this Easter season."
If you have a blog and you'd like to participate, copy and paste the rules into your blog post (of course you must also follow the rules)

HERSHEY’S BETTER BASKET BLOG HOP RULES:

•Copy and paste these rules to your blog post.  (Did that)

•Create a blog post giving a virtual Easter Basket to another blogger – you can give as many Virtual Baskets as you want.  (Did that - see end of post)

•Link back to person who gave you an Easter Basket  (Did that)  (Happy Easter, Jan).

•Let each person you are giving a Virtual Easter Basket know you have given them a Basket.  (Will do)

•Leave your link at BetterBasket.info/BlogHop comment section. You can also find the official rules of this betterbasket blog hop, and more information about Better Basket with Hershey’s there.  (Will do)

So I'm giving virtual Easter Baskets to:

Ms Sparrow ,   Ms. Fiddlesticks,   Darlinand to   Kamp KK.   Since they'll probably want to give a virtual basket or two, themselves, I'll leave it at that.    I don't want to leave anyone out, of course, but with the holiday almost upon us and some of you heading out for the weekend,  I don't want to assume that everyone has time to pass it on, either.

I'm spending the rest of the day downloading photos to CD's...I have way too many on my computer and one of these days it's going to deal me fits, I think.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this is definitely the beginning of  true spring-like weather everywhere with lots of sun, white fluffy clouds, flowers...

  6. darlin' and anyone else - who'd like to do this consider this a virtual basket from me(like Pam & Joseph?) I don't think you actually have to have a picture of an Easter basket or you can use the one from the website if you like...or you can copy mine.

Joseph, thanks for the info on the English Daisy! I never would have guessed that was of the daisy family!

I just love reading your comments. It's part of what makes blogging so much fun, don't you think?

Unfortunately, because of a recent spat of spam, for awhile I'll be reviewing comments before publishing them.

Thanks for understanding.
