A friend sent this cartoon to us and considering that we're housesitting chickens (and sheep and ducks and cats) and collecting the eggs to sell, it's pretty funny!
I hope you can read it. Try clicking on it to enlarge it.
Enjoy!
I've spent the entire day downloading photos from my computer onto photo CD's. Have been putting it off forever and finally decided that if I don't do it soon my computer could very well self-destruct and I'll lose everything. Staring at photo files all day has made me crazy!!
This little cartoon was just what I needed to restore my sense of humor!

What a great cartoon to end my blog reading with tonight!
ReplyDeleteWhat a hoot! If there's a flash of lightening in the sky, that's Ma laughing. And thank you for your comment and sharing that your mom could sew anything without a pattern. Amazing how they could do that AND enjoy every stitch. She and my mom would've talked non-stop, for, probably like your mother, my mother thought of sewing as relaxation. Really, really talented women!! Can you sew? I managed, with a Simplicity pattern, but didn't think it was fun or relaxation. Enjoy your 'farming experience'. I'll pray for Henrietta!
ReplyDeleteWow, blueviolet, you are fast! I barely published that when you commented...so glad you could read it. I couldn't get it to print any larger. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteKittie, you are absolutely right...those women could literally make purses out of sow's ears - ha! Yes, I sew. Made a daughter's wedding dress, lots of prom dresses, slipcovers, drapes, you name it...
LOL, I find this especially funny after just returning from the farm! Good one!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week Cheryl, now that I'm home it's time to hit the books... ugggggh but soon enough it's a done deal!
That was really funny.;)
ReplyDeleteAnd how fun that you are house-sitting so many animals.;) Sounds like a farm.;)

This is hilarious! LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteDo I dare say I love Henrietta's 'pluck?' : )
ReplyDeleteCute cartoon. But our dear hens are in no jepardy of going into the pot. They'll be pet bug eaters when they stop laying.
ReplyDeleteJust goes to show - be careful what you say in front of the animals!
ReplyDeleteToo cute!
That was a great cartoon. Made me LOL and I love to LOL.
ReplyDeleteI have years and years of photos of my former BF and I that when I'm in a mood or the mood, I go thru and discard. It's sad to do this but also has to be done. In iphoto, it's fun though because iphoto recognizes faces so I named my x "an idiot" so when I'm using the face recognition part of iphoto, it asks me, "Is this an Idiot? I can click yes and feel very satisfied in my endeavor.
Oh, I too, love those redbuds. Beautiful.
Darlin - Before you know it you'll be all finished with "the books"..yay!
ReplyDeleteZuzana - It is kind of a farm...I think they're called hobby farms when they're really little like this.
Kerri - Yep, a pretty funny cartoon! Glad you enjoyed it.
Teresa Evangeline - "Henrietta's pluck" is funnier than the cartoon!
The Japanese Redneck - Thank goodness you let your hens slip into old age with dignity. You're a good person.
The Bag Lady - I gotta be careful what I say in front of anyone...including the animals!
POD - I love to LOL, too. Which I did when I read about the iphoto and your x. Now that's clever, you clever thing!
This is hilarious :-D
ReplyDeleteGreetz,
Joseph
I know, Joseph...hilarious is the perfect description.
ReplyDeleteVery funny yolk.. it .. cracked me up. ;)
ReplyDeleteHaaaaaaaaaaa! Love it, Hilary :)
ReplyDeleteHere's wishing Henrietta a long and happy life! I'm all for free-range chickens. When will we see pictures of your little flock?
ReplyDeleteCheryl, I may have to blog about that...the iphoto though I will elaborate.
ReplyDeletevery funny!
ReplyDeleteMs. Sparrow, I'll post new pictures of my "flock" soon as I get more.
ReplyDeletePOD: Do...am very interested in the iphoto bit.
KK: Thanks!
That was funny!
ReplyDeleteGood for you about the photos! I can't tell you how many people I know that have lost HUGE amounts of video and pictures with a computer crash.
