Hi Sue...well, as you can tell, I've removed the red and I do think it's a little easier on the eyes.

I did discover that you can change most anything on any Blogger template like fonts and columns, etc. Not wild about the color choices, though. I'll keep messing around with this...even though it's probably not the best use of my time - ha!!

I really like the new blog looks on so many blogs too. I tried some new things on mine but did not like it so I am staying with my old fashioned look for now. Darlin' thanks so much for your feedback. Maybe I'll play around with that color...it occurs to me that on some servers it might be brighter than on others. Color does have a way of changing even in different lighting conditions. Appreciate your comments, very much.

Cheryl, this is a nice, simple background in my opinion but my eyes were shocked when I got here and even after reading the blog and the comments I just want to get away from this page and find my sunglasses! lol I find it's almost to bright especially after coming from various blogs which all have color in them. I LIKE IT!!!!!

It's simple, but extraordinary. The raspberry header is perfect. I think photos always show up better on a darker background, but reading is easier on the eyes on a lighter background.

I think this one is a keeper!
