In No Particular Order (Yet)

I really love to cook.  So every once in awhile when I've found a recipe that's really worth sharing, I'll prepare the recipe, take some photos of the process or the finished dish and post it to the blog.  Here's a quick little index of the recipes I've posted, so far.

 Cashew Clusters

Easy to make and delicious.  These cashew clusters would be perfect in a gift basket.  A recipe from my good friend, Diane.
 Peanut Butter Bonbons

There's a link to Virtual Goody Plate blog where you will find this scrumptious chocolate treat.  Also a simple recipe which would be fabulous tucked in a gift basket with the Cashew Clusters!

An "Impossible-To-Ruin" Bread Recipe

This is my new favorite thing to bake....artisan bread.  This delicious recipe is from an awesome cookbook called Artisan Bread in Five Minutes A Day.
Homemade Buttermilk Pancakes ala Betty Crocker

I haven't used pancake mix in years..no reason to when these are just as easy, delicious, and probably better for you!
Summer Sangria

We enjoyed this delicious fruity sangria wine over the 4th of July weekend.  It's got brandy, Grand Marnier, Amaretto and wine plus a lot of fresh and delicious fruit.  Try it...bet you'll agree it's a keeper.

 Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp

This is the latest recipe I've tried...it's light and slightly tart - perfect for tweaking if you like it sweeter.  Adapted from a recipe in Clean Eating magazine.

Hilary's Hiking and Camping Cookies
I'll bet you have most everything you need for these yummy cookies in your pantry.  The beauty of this recipe is it's a "tweaking" recipe.  Plus, it's as healthy as you want to make it.

This recipe was a Pantry creation...
just used what was in the pantry.

A delicious recipe from Sara Woodward's Classic Mediterranean Cookbook.

Sinfully delicious!  The grand prize winner in the 2009 cookie recipe competition sponsored by the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
We made batches of these to give to friends and neighbors for the holidays.  Took a little arm-twisting to convince Jack that sharing is a good thing...he loves these a lot!

Very nice recipe from my bread machine cookbook.  Who knew you actually bake these in a skillet?  I sure didn't.
Another really good bread machine recipe.  You can make them as small dinner rolls or you can make them larger (and flatten a little) to use for sandwich or hamburger buns.
A healthy snack or breakfast bar that is really, really tasty.  The recipe is from an old newspaper clipping and I can't tell you which newspaper or how old but I had it for years.
 Honey Crisp Apple Pie
A most delicious apple pie made from an old reliable apple pie recipe from my old reliable Betty Crocker cookbook.   I used Minnesota's own Honey Crisp apples but it'd be good with any kind.

 Really Delicious Bean Burritos
This is one of my all time favorite recipes.  It's from an issue of Martha Stewart's "Everyday Food" magazine.  It's a great vegetarian recipe, too.

Quick and Easy Croutons
Another tried and true plus easy and fast recipe from Martha Stewart's "Everyday Food" magazine.  There's really no reason to buy croutons when you can make them, in my opinion.

Like spreadable butter but not sure what's really in it?  Here's an easy to make spreadable butter from Jenny Jones' Look Good, Feel Great cookbook.
Excellent over ice cream or cheese cake or just about any dessert that would be even better with a delicious fruit sauce.  This is from the RecipeZaar website.
Homemade Cough Syrup
A simple but quite effective homemade elixir for coughs.
Believe it or not, these are quite good.  I was experimenting with "recipes from the back of the box" ideas for a Squidoo lens.
Homemade German Chocolate Cake from my old Betty Crocker Cookbook.  Takes a little extra time but is sooooo worth it.

Whole Grain Pancakes

I first made this recipe several years ago.  Got the recipe out of the Seattle newspaper.  I love whole grain anything, though.
